1. Guinness Storehouse
Why not take a trip to the city’s number one attraction – The Guinness Storehouse. It’s located right in the heart of the St Jame’s Gate Brewery and has been home to the black stuff since 1759!. Visiting this city gem will tell you everything you want to know about the making of the Guinness. The best part of your trip will most likely be visiting the Gravity Bar where you can receive a complimentary pint of Guinness and sit back and chill while gazing at the views of Dublin City!
2. Dublin Zoo
Another city attraction and a great day out is the Dublin Zoo. It’s home to Zebras, ostriches, bats, rare monkeys and much more!
3. National Aquatic Centre
AquaZone, at the National Aquatic Centre, is without a doubt a great day out. The venue features something for everyone! The Lazy River, Wave Pool, Flow Rider, Master Blaster and Flumes are just some of the rides at the centre offering you a thrilling experience.
The National botanic gardens are located in Glasnevin, 5 km north-west of Dublin city centre. The gardens feature a sensory garden, rock garden, ponds, loads of decorative plants, arboretum and more. The gardens were founded in 1795 by the Dublin Society and make a great day relaxing and peaceful day out.
5.A trip to Templebar
Temple Bar is a busy cobblestoned neighbourhood that is host to pubs, restaurants and live music! If you’re looking for a place to grab a few drinks and a nice meal then you’ve found it. You’ll be able to find Asian, American and Irish food here. It’s known as Dublin’s cultural quarter and is a great place for tourists to visit.
Some places to try while you’re there are the Temple Bar Pub, The Porterhouse and Bad Bobs. Temple Bar Pub is Temple Bars only licensed garden and you’ll be sure to get a good laugh there! You’ll find irish and international craft beer in here and some great live music.
The Porterhouse is also a fantastic night out in Temple Bar. It was Dublins first pub brewery and has been here since 1996. You won’t find your average beer here as everything they sell is anything but mainstream! However, that being said it is truly great.
Badbobs is quite a big venue in Templebar with five floors. Each floor with a unique atmosphere of its own. On the ground floor snug bar, you’ll find an eating area with live music. The next two floors are the nightclub where you’ll find the best DJs & even a saxophone player. Floors 3-5 are for your private parties and VIP areas.
Dublin has something for everyone which makes it a city for everyone.
